This soggy April night I felt might be the last night like this, and this would be a good fit. I didn't want to hold onto this through the summer, and forget I had it.
I will say I wrote this this w/out reading the above post, I feel it gives me a less bias opinion. (and sometimes wrong)

The beer has a great chocolate / mocha looking head, that is persisting.
I really pick nothing up in the aroma, could be temp, could be glass.
The taste is rich, and on the roasty side, like too dark chocolate. It's smooth, not acrid, but just too far on the roast side (for my tastes).
The attenuation is spot on, It's neither thin, or syrupy. This must have been a challenge to dry out, but this is good.
Holy crap, it hides the 9.7 well, not hot at all.
The carbonation is good too, I'm not a fan of a highly carbonated stout, I would only slightly take that down, but bottle conditioning makes that impossible.
Also, after the saison labels, I was sad there was no art. totally kidding as I only marked the caps.
Aaron Ouellette - thebottlefarm.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01065490515030672361noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5076002047553648960.post-77517628799614629842012-12-18T18:19:29.078-04:002012-12-18T18:19:29.078-04:00Yikes, you've just made me realize I never pos...Yikes, you've just made me realize I never posted any tasting notes!

I'll do that ASAP. In a nutshell, it's come along pretty well; pretty drinkable for such a big beer. Could use some more roasted character, which I've heard from others who have brewed this recipe.

Thanks for the kick in the ass!Shawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08469375277267237839noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5076002047553648960.post-2525455543452486972012-12-18T18:06:09.333-04:002012-12-18T18:06:09.333-04:00It has been over a year now.
